WhatsApp To Bring Back Old WhatsApp Status & Revoke feature
Recently WhatsApp added a new feature as “Status” similar to Snapchat stories removing the Old WhatsApp Status. But many users were not happy with this new update. WhatsApp faced a large amount of negative reactions by their users. The company has been criticized by the users for taking off old WhatsApp status and copying the feature similar to Snapchat and Instagram.
After receiving these negative feedbacks from customers the company is planning to come back with the older version of status without removing the newer snapchat-like feature of disappearing status updates. In the next app update for Android, company will bring a new menu above the settings option called as the “My Account”. Tapping on this will bring all the users to their familiar “Status” menu which has been renamed to My Account.

The “Info” has been added back to the profile. As reported by WABetaInfo, the company has previously renamed the Old Status to “Tagline”. Apart from this another additional feature called “Unsend” (initially known as Revoke) will be rolled soon. Long pressing a message will bring three-dot menu at the top right corner, which will enable you to ‘unsend’ a previously sent message after a confirmation. On confirming the same, the message will turn to ‘This message was unsent’.

WhatsApp server has not enabled this feature yet, so this does not reflect on the other side. The company’s mobile app development team is working rapidly nowadays bringing in new features like WhatsApp Video Calling, WhatsApp Status, etc; which shows that this feature can turn out shortly for everyone in future.
